  3. Hi Readers,

It has taken me awhile to thaw out after my trip to Chicago, but nonetheless, tomorrow is February 6 and that is the meeting date for the Friday Night Book Club. Everyone is invited to join the group about 6pm at Central Market's CAFE ON THE RUN. (Located at the intersection of Coit and the GBush Tollway)

I have "scoped out" the dining-chat areas at Whole Foods and La Madeleine but found CMarket's to have the most spacious table area for a group. On Wednesday night it was wide open, but on Friday-well, let's hope. . . . If 6:00pm is too tight for those able to come, please email me back and I will adjust and notify others. I will be coming from NorthPark to meet you all there and start time is flexible for me.

As I imagine you are aware the Cafe has a generous assortment of soups, salads, sandwiches, stir-fry, pizza, etc. to build your own "Foodie Meal". As the host, I would like to treat for dessert ---gelato anyone??

For a quick jump start in supplementing the book (or the Cliff notes version) may I suggest the Bill Moyers Journal interview of the author available online from November 2008. I found it to be a effective summary of many topics covered in the long pages of the "Dilemma". The link is: pbs.org/moyers/journal/11282008/profile.html There are two parts to his chat with Michael Pollan, I think you'll like him.
